Kings' Kevin Huerter Out with Shoulder Injury

Kings’ Kevin Huerter Out with Shoulder Injury: Sacramento Kings guard Kevin Huerter was forced to leave Monday night’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies after suffering a left shoulder injury. The injury occurred early in the first quarter during a layup attempt when Grizzlies guard Desmond Bane made contact with Huerter’s left arm. Bane received a common foul for the play.

Huerter was visibly in pain and remained on the ground before heading to the locker room cradling his injured arm. The Kings later announced he would not return to the game. Sacramento ultimately won the game in overtime, 121-111.

Kings coach Mike Brown didn’t provide an update on Huerter’s condition after the game. Teammate De’Aaron Fox commented, “With this team, we always have that next-man-up mentality. If Kev’s out for a while, we have to be ready to play without him.”

This setback comes after Huerter, 25, missed Wednesday’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers due to a bruised right leg. He had only recently returned to action on Saturday against the New York Knicks.
