Subaru has announced that the new 2024 WRX TR will make its debut at Subiefest Florida on October 7th. The company has only released a teaser image of the car so far, but it shows that the TR will feature unique wheels and beefier Brembo brakes.
Subaru has also said that the TR will be “enthusiast-focused,” so it’s likely that the car will receive other upgrades, such as suspension tweaks. However, it’s unlikely that the TR will get a power increase, as that would likely make it too expensive.
One of the biggest upgrades that the TR is expected to receive is EyeSight safety technology. EyeSight is a suite of driver-assist features that includes adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and automatic emergency braking. Until now, EyeSight has only been available on WRX models with the automatic transmission.
The addition of EyeSight to the WRX TR is a big deal, as it will make the car more appealing to a wider range of buyers. It’s also a sign that Subaru is committed to safety, even on its performance models.
